Corruption's First Identikit Face

More than half the respondents in a corruption survey admitted to having bribed officials. Half of the officials interviewed confessed they had accepted bribes.

THE odd thing about Indonesia is that while there's a lot of corruption, there appear to be very few corruptors. Almost every day, complaints are heard about corruption everywhere: in police stations, banks, ministerial offices and subdistrict offices. But it's very difficult to actually pinpoint any culprits.
