THE 12-hour examination ended with applause. After replying to 32 questions posed by the 32-member DPR (House of Representatives) Defense Commission last Wednesday, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Djoko Santoso was finally accepted as Commander in Chief of the TNI (Indonesian Military). He had been proposed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as successor to Marshal Djoko Suyanto who retired on December 5.
