Explosion at Pertamina Depot

A PERTAMINA oil depot in Plumpang caught fire last Sunday night, sending a plume of black smoke and flames into Jakarta’s skies. A supply depot for Jakarta, West Java, and Banten, the depot fire was started by an explosion at 9:30pm. According to National Police HQ spokesperson, Abu Bakar, the fire destroyed storage tank number 24 containing 5 million liters of Premium gasoline.
