People in the President’s innermost circle are accused of involvement in the flow of illicit Bank Century funds. Could there be political motives behind the accusation?

A LARGE white banner with lettering in bright-red paint read, “Oppose the criminalization of information: the ants versus the elephant.” An elephant is painted on it, which is hysterical from being bitten by ants on its ear and trunk. As of early last week, this provocative banner has been hanging in the front room of the secretariat of the People’s Democracy Fortress (Bendera) organization at Jalan Diponegoro 58, Central Jakarta.
