An Underfunded Protest

The demonstrations which marked the beginning of the DPR Plenary Session ended in anticlimactic fashion. There was no central figure.

AS the day passed at the front gate of the House of Representatives (DPR) building, the protestors became more active. Blasts from water cannons seemingly did not drench their spirit—some of them were women and teenage girls. On that Tuesday last week, they were “kicking off” the DPR Plenary Session, where the final decision was being made on the Bank Century case.
