THE MEETING was held on the 21st floor of the Hotel Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta, late on Monday afternoon two weeks ago. It was attended by the three faction chairs of the Democrats, Jafar Hafsah, Golkar, Setya Novanto, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle’s (PDI-P) Tjahjo Kumolo, as well as two members of the House Governance Commission, Taufik Hidayat (Golkar) and Arif Wibowo (PDI-P).
