On the ninth floor of the Menara Sudirman building in South Jakarta lies the headquarters of the Democrat Party's Supervisory Commission. Eight of the commission's staffers receive reports on the work performances of the central board of a party set up by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The ninth floor actually houses the law offices of Amir Syamsuddin and Partners. Before being appointed as the country's Justice and Human Rights Minister, Amir
