94 Papua Riot Suspects Named
THE Papua Regional Police have named 94 suspects involved in a number of riots in five areas in Papua over the past two months. The five regions are Jayapura City, Deiyai Regency, Timika City, Wamena (Jayawijaya Regency) and Oksibil (Pegunungan Bintang Regency).

Papua Regional Police Chief Spokesman Sr. Comsr. Ahmad Musthofa Kamal said of the total, 13 people became suspects of the riots in Wamena. “Of the 13 suspects, 10 are detained, while three others are being hunted,” said Kamal in Jayapura on Thursday, October 10. He added that the three are indicated as provocators and part of the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) and the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP).
