DODI Sumadi, 53, hobbles along. He wears knee-length jeans, and his shins are visibly bruised. Although the distance from the holding cell to the interrogation room at the Jakarta police headquarters is only about 50 meters, it seems like miles to him. He tries to slow down the pace of the two officers flanking him. "Not so fast. My leg hurts," he mutters softly.
