From Security Detail to Commander
President Joko Widodo has chosen Army Chief of Staff Gen. Andika Perkasa as the sole candidate for Indonesian TNI Commander. His decision was supported by Defense Minister of Prabowo Subianto and PDI-P Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri.

ON Wednesday, November 3, Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto sent a text message to Army Chief of Staff Gen. Andika Perkasa. He said he would pray for Andika, so that the latter’s fit-and-proper test at the House of Representatives (DPR) would go smoothly and he would soon be inaugurated as the new TNI commander.
