PDI-P’s Presidential Candidates Contention
The relationship between Joko Widodo and the PDI-P is strained due to signals of support for Ganjar Pranowo. The party is looking at potential presidential candidates besides Puan Maharani.

HUNDREDS of banners placed by the Pro Jokowi (Projo) group could be seen in a village economic center (Balkondes) in Borobudur area, Magelang, Central Java, on Friday, May 20. They had been put up before the national meeting of Projo, a volunteer group of supporters of President Joko Widodo, to be held the following day. Among those banners were some reading “Projo’s New Direction, Ganjar Pranowo for President 2024.”
