At the end of last week, the former President of Indonesia was flowing with good cheer in the company of his children and grandchildren, a number of former New Order officials, a team of doctors and his lawyers. A bunch of flowers with a cheerful message for Suharto was displayed for all to see, at his residence on Jalan Cendana, Jakarta.
