MOHAMMAD Nazar, his wife and child were fast asleep when the noise level rose around their house on Jalan Flamboyan, Banda Aceh, with car engines rumbling at midnight. Seven policemen with long-barrel guns leapt over fences and broke into the house. Like a raid in an action film, "the cops damaged the back door with strong kicks," said Dewi Meutia, Nazar's wife.
