Anti-PKI Symposium Held

A three-day symposium entitled Securing Pancasila Against Any Reawakening of the PKI or Similar Ideologies, initiated by several retired Indonesian generals and a number of community organizations, was held at the Jakarta Balai Kartini last week.

The symposium concluded by proposing nine recommendations, one of which called on the government, NGOs, and civil society not to reopen past issues.
