Governor Re-elected

RETIRED Maj. Gen. (army) Imam Utomo has been re-elected Governor of East Java for the 2003-2008 tenure. In the gubernatorial election held at the East Java Provincial Legislative Assembly Building in Surabaya Thursday last week, Utomo, running with Soenarjo as his deputy governor candidate, won overwhelmingly over rival pair Brig. Gen. (ret) Abdul Kahfi and Ridwan Hisyam.

Utomo and Soenaryo earned 63 votes and Kahfi and Ridwan
