LAST Thursday President Megawati awarded medals of honor to 35 figures for their services to the country. Among them are former DKI Jakarta Governor Ali Sadikin, Prof. Dr. Poerbatjaraka, Batam Authority Chairman Ismet Abdullah, cultural observer Sardono W. Kusumo, composer A.T. Mahmud, and actress and movie producer Christine Hakim.
