THE national flag-draped coffin was lowered slowly in the rain after the rumble of a gun salvo. Lying inside were the remains of General (ret) Rudini, 77. The former Army Chief of Staff was buried at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery, South Jakarta. Army Chief of Staff Djoko Santoso acted as inspector of the funeral ceremony two weeks ago.
