ONE afternoon in 2009, Christie Mahendra, a publication and documentary staff at the Center for Strategic & International Studies heard a knock at her office door. She opened the door to find Marwoto Hadi Soesastro, one of the founders of this well-known think tank, carrying some Vitamin C for her. “I was shocked to find the boss coming down to see us,” recounted Christie, remembering Hadi.
