PROGRAMS on Indonesian television tend to be copycats of the originals. If a product is successful, measured by how high ratings go, other stations rush to produce a program of the same genre. This is entirely due to the demands of advertising agencies. There is no longer any shame in being called an imitator. Thus, what ends up being broadcast is a show with only a few changes from the original.
