SOME good came out of the strike by the Jakarta Transport Company (PPD) last week. When the drivers took their buses to the citys main roads and parked them, with some even blocking the busway lane, thousands of Jakarta commuters were affected. The government and the public finally realized the extent of the chronic malaise afflicting the transport company.
