Now, the Levina Disaster

The legal system and safety guarantees of the transportation network must be upheld without compromise. Incredibly, even drawing up a passenger manifest seems a difficult undertaking.

TRAGEDY has struck again. The ship Levina I, which sailed from Jakartas Tanjung Priok Port, caught fire in the Thousand Islands area. As we witnessed on television, the Levina never made it to Balam Port, Bangka. About 45 people are presumed to have died in the disaster.

We are shocked. After all, it was only one day after the Adam Air accident in Surabaya. A Boeing 737-300 was forced to make a hard landing, resulting in a crack in the underside.
