Suharto’s foundations became rich by using government facilities. Action is needed, not rhetoric, to return them to the state.

SAY you leave your cat with a neighbor, when you come to reclaim it you do not need to worry that it has been confiscated or stolen. The same should be true of the assets in the seven foundations set up by former President Suharto. These foundations, which now have assets amounting to trillions of rupiah, started off very small. It was Suharto who during the New Order fattened their coffers by using presidential policies.
