MONOPOLIES have been the subject of much debate recently, following the ruling by the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) on November 19. The government watchdog declared that Temasek had violated the law on the Prohibition of Monopolistic and Unhealthy Competition Practices. The KPPU concluded that the Singaporean state-owned company, through its subsidiaries, owned shares in two companies, which jointly holds a market share in ex
