'Flying Deathtraps' should be Grounded
The recent ban on Adam Air should be a momentum to put the domestic aviation industry in order. Safety regulations must be upheld without compromise.

THE government's decision to ban Adam Air from operating is correct. In less than three years, it has had eight accidents-a very high figure in the history of our aviation industry. One was the crash of a Boeing 737-400 in the waters off Mejene, West Sulawesi, in which 102 passengers and crew died.
