‘Stowaway’ Articles must be Revoked
Several articles in the Electronic Information and Transactions Law threaten press freedom. An immediate judicial review is critically needed.

THE Electronic Information and Transactions Law, passed by the House of Representatives (DPR) last week, is an important piece of legislation. But it contains major flaws: there are articles that threaten the freedom of the press guaranteed in the Constitution. This “negligence” is regrettable.
