Taxing Corruptors

The government needs to put the tax system in order. Corruptors should be hunted down.

A HEALTHY democratic nation lives off the taxes of its people. If this view is correct, democracy in Indonesia is far from healthy. The problem is that while the ratio of tax revenues to gross domestic product in developed nations is usually around 40 percent, in Indonesia, it is still around a third of that.
