THE fasting month is just over. And we have not forgotten how throughout Ramadan, every television station competed to air sermons, discussions, Quranic recitations or short courses on religion. Given the number of ustad and ustadzah (male and female Islamic teachers) who appeared in the various programs, it is fair to say that Islamic dakwah, or sermonizing, in this nation has become quite spirited.
