A Good and Necessary Do-Over
The Tangguh gas sales contract with the People’s Republic of China is detrimental for Indonesia. Renegotiating to improve the deal should not be difficult.

A lesson is being learned from China. It began with a debate over a sales contract for gas from the Tangguh field to China. This was not out of line.
