West Sumatra officials are banned from taking their official cars home. This is a good rule, especially when it is applied without exception.

WEST Sumatra Governor Gamawan Fauzi has a new policy that other government institutions would do well to emulate. He has banned regional administration officials from taking their official cars home after working hours. The 361 official vehicles owned by the South Sumatra Regional House of Representatives can only be driven if the cars’ “users” are on official duty. This new rule came into effect last Monday.
