The AGO and the Tax Office have agreed to take the Asian Agri case to court. They must stick to this commitment.

THE agreement between Attorney General Agung Hendarman Supandji and Tax Director-General Darmin Nasution to continue investigating the Asian Agri Group’s alleged tax evasion case, is a welcome relief. The Attorney General’s Office’s (AGO) commitment is important because as the institution initiating legal charges, this is the “key” to bringing to court, the case involving an alleged corruption of Rp1.3 trillion.
