The case of the marked-up air tickets claimed by some Foreign Affairs Department officials is not an internal matter. An investigation by people outside the department is needed to prove senior officials were not involved.

CORRUPTION is everywhere. But when it happens in the Foreign Affairs Department, involves quite a few officials and could have easily become a tradition, then it is a betrayal. It is a betrayal of the reforms underway at the department.
