INSTEAD of being known as the producer of “black gold,” Pertamina is now frequently a scapegoat. People are still accusing Pertamina of being behind the exploding gas cylinders, and now it has to face another charge: responsibility for the damage to the fuel pumps in thousands of cars. Leaving aside who was really to blame for the two cases, the public has already made up its mind: Pertamina is in the wrong.
