Pertamina must do more than issue denials in response to accusations that Premium gasoline is contaminated. Public information and improvements to service are needed.

INSTEAD of being known as the producer of “black gold,” Pertamina is now frequently a scapegoat. People are still accusing Pertamina of being behind the exploding gas cylinders, and now it has to face another charge: responsibility for the damage to the fuel pumps in thousands of cars.
