CORRUPTION eradication is now no more than a slogan. We have looked on with increasing dismay as the “weapons” in the fight against this serious crime have been rendered ineffective. From top to bottom, the powers of the anticorruption commission have slowly been weakened. Ironically, the perpetrator is no less than the institution of the state itself, which should instead, be leading the battle against corruption.
