DAVID Tobing’s lawsuit over the use of the state symbol on the shirts of our national soccer team seems excessive. This is not a half-measure act. The lawsuit is directed at the Indonesian president, two ministers, the All-Indonesia Football Federation (PSSI) and PT Nike Indonesia as the sponsor. The lawsuit contains a demand for the PSSI and Nike to cancel the sponsorship contract prior to the national team’s participation in the semifinal.
