Actually, there is nothing special in The Washington Post's editorial of 2 March 2001. It merely mentions a disagreement over an assumption of a plan to change Washington's policy on the Indonesian Military (TNI). The resounding ramifications in Jakarta, however, created a furor because the editorial was interpreted in such a way that the administration of George W. Bush would support a military takeover of power in Indonesia.
