A new approach is needed to introduce quality movies. A more creative and proactive 'inducement' would attract more talented producers.

AN old problem for filmmakers reappeared at this year's Indonesian Film Festival (FFI): no matter how good the quality of the movie, it is impossible to take part because of the inane requirements and the bureaucracy. Only movies that have been shown in theaters and those that have passed the sensors's cut can participate. Besides being time-consuming, this process costs money.
