Knee-jerk 'Appeal'

The Depok mayor's 'One Day No Rice' program will not be effective. Seeking alternatives would be better than a ban.

Why did the Depok city administration name its program in English'One Day No Rice'when there is a better Indonesian equivalent? Even if the people of Jakarta's next-door neighbor can speak English, they would use a better expression such as 'One Day Without Rice' or 'A Day Without Rice'if they wanted it to sound more poetic. But this is not just about terminology.
