Running Interference

The establishment of a DPR Working Committee to review Supreme Court rulings can be seen as interfering in the judges' turf. The oversight function should be left to the Judicial Commission.

The legislators at Senayan cannot seem to stop exceeding their limits of authorization. This was apparent when the House of Representatives (DPR) established a working committee to examine Supreme Court rulings. Besides a lack of urgency, it would be a nuisance if this commission interfered with the authority of the judicial branch.
