There is no end to members of the House of Representatives (DPR) exceeding their authority. The latest example is their pressure on the Supreme Court to call off the move of a corruption trial from Semarang to Jakarta. This not only violates the parliamentary code of ethics, it is also rightly being seen as interference in the judicial process.

The Supreme Court must have a good reason for moving the trial from the Semarang Corruption Court, and
