The government should not be correcting the price of non-subsidized LPG. Such intervention can restrict Pertamina's financial tasks.

THE government should not be duplicitous over the price of non-subsidized LPG cooking gas. Pertamina clearly has the right to set its own price for non-subsidized LPG. This is clearly stated in Energy and Mineral Resources Ministerial Regulation No. 26/2009. But President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono reacted strongly and put pressure on the state-owned oil and gas company to correct the price rise within 24 hours.
