THE recent incident at the Jakarta International School (JIS) kindergarten must make anyone, most especially parents, aware of the inherent and prevailing danger of pedophilia. They should also realize that the media's frenzied reporting of the JIS incident will not add to the crime, but will instead tell people that there are courageous people who will step up to expose such heinous acts.

The police have arrested six janitors, believed to be th
