The government asked the Supreme Court to inaugurate the members of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Board of Commissioners despite the fact that it is not yet time. This could be against the law.

THE government cannot arbitrarily ask the Supreme Court to immediately inaugurate the elected commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). As well as showing the poor governance of our bureaucracy, this could harm the independence of the body that oversees the financial and banking industry.
