TASKED with washing the ‘dirty dishes’ leftover from the handling of the foot and mouth disease (FMD) outbreak by the agricultural ministry, a special team led by the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has a lot on its plate. It must move quickly to mobilize government resources in the center and the regions to deal with the spreading outbreak, as well as ensuring that the handling of it remains accountable.
