Get the Vote, or the Boot
The Election Bill, which made it to the House of Representatives two weeks ago after some revision, might very well be the beginning of the end to the dual role of the TNI and police.

To vote in the national election and to be elected as a people's representative are the rights of every Indonesian citizen. The General Election Bill, which was presented to the House of Representatives (DPR) by the Ministry of Home Affairs, contains that spirit of equality. That's why we call it "good, but with reservation".
We use the word "good" because the bill returns the right of members of the Indonesian military
