The 2002 annual session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) is finalizing the latest amendments to the 1945 Constitution, but there is a growing chance the effort will fail. Although it is not yet certain what might happen if things come to a dead end, an unfinished amendment process would lead to a constitutional crisis.
