The Supreme Court sentenced Sudjiono Timan to 15 years in jail, but when the sentence was to be carried out, he was found to have absconded.

SUDJIONO Timan had not been detained. There was no legal reason for doing so. The judges at the South Jakarta District Court, the first court to try him, had released him from custody.
