THERE are many ways of reacting to the bombing at the JW Marriott Hotel last Tuesday. The pessimists are inclined to panic and believe that other bombings will soon follow, prompting them—if they can afford it—to start packing and relocate to a safer country. Conversely, the optimists see the latest attack as the beginning of the end of bombings in this country. As the saying goes, a fire burns brightest when it's about die.
