The Decline of Sports

Our badminton players were routed at Senayan sports hall last week. Yet we were once proud winners of the Thomas and Uber cups. Why has our sports capability declined?

THE hysterical shouts, cheers and applause have disappeared from the Istora Senayan sports hall this week. The Thomas and Uber Cup competitions have ended. And we all know the result. Our badminton players lost and the prestigious trophies are in other hands.
