Despite strong indications of share trading manipulation, the Lippo Group has once again escaped punishment. Bapepam looks for evidence, but what is needed is political will.

THE Capital Market Supervisory Agency (Bapepam) promised that its investigation into the manipulation of trading Lippo Bank shares would need three months, starting from March 2003.
