PEOPLE are still shocked when they hear people accused of corruption go free. In the current anti-corruption climate, the court freed Tabrani Ismail, charged with misappropriating millions of dollars from a project to build the Exor I oil refinery for state-owned oil company Pertamina at Balongan, West Java. The prosecutor asked for a 12-year jail term, but the judge freed the accused, saying the case lacked evidence.
